Regulatory Manager
Brenda serves as the Regulatory Manager for Buffco Production, Inc. As regulatory manger, Brenda acts as liaison between Bufkin Holdings entities and state and federal agencies, working directly with Buffco’s operations division to ensure compliance is met and maintained in all areas. Brenda began her oil and gas career in 1980 at Marshall Exploration, Inc. When Marshall Exploration was purchased by Sonat Exploration, Inc., and later when Sonat was purchased by El Paso Corporation, Brenda stayed on with each company. After 17years with Marshall/Sonat/El Paso, Brenda left to develop and manage an air compliance program for Brammer Engineering. Two years later, Brenda was recruited by J-W Operating Company to bring their air quality program into compliance. During her tenure with air compliance at J-W, Brenda was instrumental in applying for and receiving a state grant to assist with the cost of air quality controls at one of their gathering sites. A few years after managing the air quality program, Brenda was tasked with overseeing J-W Operating’s exploration and production regulatory department. Part of that oversight was becoming involved in the various committees of the Marcellus Shale Coalition and the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association. After 11years at J-W, Brenda was asked to join Buffco Production in its endeavor to meet and maintain regulatory compliance in an ever-evolving environment.
